After a couple of weeks working on some unit tests, I finally finished a first prototype for a new game! In this game you are trying to avoid obstacles while defeating a boss, but in the future, I hope to fully flesh it out with art and a better framework and stronger code. I finished all of the features I wanted to implement to my game jam game! Now it has win and loss conditions, with a high score and difficulty feature! Hopefully this is the final version of my game that I’ll be submitting to the game jam.

I made a new prototype for the Blackthornprod game jam! The theme is “Less is More”, so I decided to go for a 1-bit art style! This is essentially a remake of my Bus Crasher game, but with all original assets and a collectible mechanic! There isn’t a scoring or difficulty feature like last time, but I’ll probably implement it before I submit it to the game jam.

I added some extra polish and a title to my bus driving game. Now there are more obstacles and you can change the difficulty! I also added in music and sound effects. This is probably the final version of this game that I will make. Please keep in mind that none of the assets in this game are mine, they’re all from the Unity Asset Store and the Unity Create with Code course. The music is “Paradise Line” from Mother 1.

I added win and loss conditions to the Simple Bus Prototype I created yesterday, thus making it into an actual game! Now you can earn earn a high score, crash the bus, and restart the game.
